A leader in online analytics, <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics\/index.html\">Google Analytics<\/a> provides a comprehensive view of how visitors interact with channels, answering questions such as:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>How do visitors find my brand channel?<\/li>\n<li>How loyal are my viewers: how often do they come back to my channel?<\/li>\n<li>How much time do people spend on my channel?<\/li>\n<li>Where are my users located and what languages do they speak?<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>For more details details on how to use Google Analytics, please visit the <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/analytics\/bin\/static.py?page=guide.cs\">Google Analytics Getting Started Guide<\/a>.<\/p>\n<p>At this time, Google Analytics is only available on brand channels. <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/youtube\/bin\/answer.py?answer=94079\">YouTube Insight<\/a>, our video analytics tool, provides detailed metrics on video views and community engagement for <em>all<\/em> users.<\/p>\n<h3>Setting up Google Analytics on your Brand Channel<\/h3>\n<ol>\n<li>Sign up for a Google Analytics account at <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics\/\">http:\/\/www.google.com\/analytics<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>If you have an existing Google Analytics login, you may create a new account by selecting \u201cCreate New Account\u201d in the drop-down on the top right of the page. While it is possible to create a new profile within an existing account by selecting \u201cAdd New Profile\u201d, we recommend creating a new account so that the data from your YouTube channel does not impact the data summaries from your other websites.<\/li>\n<li>Locate your Google Analytics Profile ID, which takes the form of &#8220;UA-123123-1&#8221;. This can be found while in the Overview of the account, listed with the website profiles.<\/li>\n<li>Log into your YouTube account and navigate to Account &gt; Branding Options &gt; Google Analytics Account ID. Paste your Profile ID into this field and select \u201cSave Branding Options\u201d.<\/li>\n<li>Once you save your changes, you should allow up to 24 hours for data to appear in your account. If you wait 24 hours and still don&#8217;t see any data, please read <a href=\"http:\/\/www.google.com\/support\/googleanalytics\/bin\/answer.py?answer=57053\">Why isn&#8217;t Google Analytics tracking my Website?<\/a>.<\/li>\n<li>(Optional) So that your YouTube rep may assist you if you have any questions related to your account, we request that you grant access to brandchanneltracking@gmail.com.
